Good Evening Fox Families and Happy New Year’s Eve, this is your assistant principal Bethany Ruhlman with this week’s announcements and reminders. I hope everyone has had a wonderful and relaxing winter break so far.  We are looking forward to seeing all of our foxes on Thursday.

The Foxy Focus for January is Responsibility. The students will hear the following statement on the announcements each morning and are encouraged to incorporate it into their daily habits.  Responsibility means taking charge of and being accountable for your words and actions. Each of us is held responsible for our behavior, so when things go wrong, we admit our mistakes instead of denying what happened or blaming others. It also includes making sure our different duties as students are completed in a timely manner.

As a follow-up to the Foxy Focus for January encouraging students to be responsible for their actions, we will be reviewing our school and division expectations with our students upon their return for the 2nd semester.  We need your support as we continue our partnership for a successful second half of the school year.  Please review the code of conduct with your student and remind them of the importance of following school rules and being kind and respectful to each other.  We appreciate your assistance and working together, we can finish out the year strong!

Congratulations to Mrs. Adele LaFontaine, our PTA Hospitality Chair and parent of 2 M-NES students, as she was chosen as the Community TeamLCPS MVP Winner on December 15th. We are so grateful for all she does! Way to go, Mrs. LaFontaine!

Thank you to the families that came out to support us for the Amistad Den breakfast and those who assisted with our foxy festivities club activities.  Both events were highly successful!
