Good Evening Fox Families,
This is your principal Anita Roane with a few announcements before we kick off this school year at the Home of the Foxes. The epic staff at Moss-Nuckols can’t wait to welcome our new foxes and see those that are returning.
I know our families are eagerly awaiting to find out about student placements. That is always an exciting time of the year. Your wait is almost over. Letters are being mailed tomorrow that includes information about our Open House for all students on August 7th, student placements, and supplies.
For our returning families you know that there is usually a lot of homework for the grownups to complete on the first day of school. I am happy to announce that this year much of the beginning of the year forms will be completed online. Please watch for an email from PowerSchool Registration for your link to complete the documents prior to our Open House. If you have questions or need assistance with the online process, you may call the help desk at 540-894-4373.
Additionally, if you need assistance with accessing the internet to complete these documents please call our front office at 540-967-1347.
PreKindergarten and kindergarten will be given the opportunity to ride the bus with an adult on the morning of Open House. Bus drivers will be in contact during the first week in August communicating pick-up times and what bus number and driver to expect. If your student is going to normally ride the bus, we highly recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity. Otherwise, we will start allowing families to enter the gymnasium at 8:20 AM for a family-style meeting slated to begin at 8:30 AM. There will also be a short “Playdate on the Playground” for them to get to know each other sponsored by our wonderful PTA after they are finished in the classrooms.
Our First through Fifth graders will have an Open House on the afternoon of August 7th. These sessions will be held by appointment only. Teachers will contact families to secure a session time.
