Hello Moss-Nuckols friends and families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am honored to serve as the new principal of Moss-Nuckols Elementary School and am looking forward to an amazing year.
This is the start of my 19th year in the field of education. I am originally from Grayson County, VA, where I graduated high school. I moved to Central Virginia to attend Longwood University and started my teaching career with a degree in Elementary Education. I then went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Reading from the University of Lynchburg and an endorsement in Gifted Education form the University of Virginia. After that, I returned to Longwood University to complete my endorsement in Educational Leadership. Over the past 18 years, I have been a classroom teacher, a gifted specialist, a reading specialist, and most recently, an assistant principal.
When I’m not at school, I am busy being a proud dance dad. I enjoy spending time with my wife, little girl, and our two pets. Family is very important to me, and I am grateful to be joining the Moss-Nuckols family.
I’m very excited to get to know everyone in the M-NES family and can’t wait to work with each and every one of you this year. I believe in communication and have an open door policy, so please do not hesitate to contact me by email at [email protected] or by phone at (540) 500-1381. If there is anything that I can do to help our young foxes be successful, please let me know!
Go Foxes!

Greetings Moss-Nuckols Elementary School Families and Friends!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am excited to continue to serve the Fox community as the Assistant Principal at Moss-Nuckols Elementary School!  This will be my seventh year here at the Home of the Foxes and I can wholeheartedly say there is no place like M-NES.  The relationships and bonds I have formed with our students, staff, and families are incredibly special to me.

I am a Louisa County native and it will forever be my home.  I attended Louisa County Public Schools from kindergarten all the way through twelfth grade, where I discovered my love for learning and serving others, thanks to my many dedicated teachers and staff members.  After graduating from Louisa County High School, I earned my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Teaching from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.  I then returned home and worked as a special education teacher in kindergarten through fifth grade at Jouett Elementary School, prior to becoming an administrator at M-NES.  I continued my passion for education and earned my Educational Specialist and Doctor of Education degrees in Educational Leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.

TeamLCPS is truly the greatest place on Earth and I am so grateful to continue to work closely with all our Foxes this year.  I feel that open communication and collaboration are key to success, so please do not hesitate to contact me via email at [email protected] or by phone at 540-967-1347.

Go Foxes!

Hello, Moss-Nuckols Families and Friends.

I am deeply honored to introduce myself as the new administrative intern at M-NES. This will be my 25th year in public education. I began my educational career as a third grade teacher in my hometown of Madison, New Jersey. Since moving to Virginia, I have worked in Hanover and Henrico counties as a classroom teacher and most recently an elementary reading specialist.

My educational studies began at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland where I received a degree in Early Childhood Education.  I then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Reading from Virginia Commonwealth University. Then most recently an endorsement in Educational Leadership from the University of Richmond.

I consider it a privilege to join TeamLCPS and serve the families at Moss-Nuckols. While not at school I’m spending time with my husband and beloved dog. We love to take road trips and explore the world around us. We have three grown sons and love spending time together when they’re home.

I
look forward to getting to know all of you and accomplishing amazing things this year. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time via the contact information above. Go Foxes!
