The Foxy Focus for October - Kindness
The students hear the following statement on the announcements each morning and are encouraged to incorporate it into their daily habits.
Kindness is being a friendly and caring person who wants others to succeed. Kind friends have positive attitudes and do nice things for people around them. Since it is National Bullying Awareness Month, the goal is to show kindness and appreciate others for who they are inside.
Our kindergarten classes had a Shaperia last week. I would like to thank Blue Ridge Pizza for providing pizza to our 5 kindergarten classes as a tasty part of their lesson.

It’s time to get excited because this week is the first week of Kindness Month and OPERATION KINDNESS! For the first week of Operation Kindness, we will be creating Thank You Cards for members of the military at school. It is so important that we say thank you because the freedoms we enjoy each day are made possible by the brave men and women who serve our country. The cards we are creating will be distributed to veterans throughout our community and country as we spread Kindness near and far.
This week also marks Farm to School week and the cafeteria staff has some activities planned for our students. We are asking everyone to dress as a farmer on Wednesday, October 4th.
We are still waiting for everyone to complete their online registration. Please contact the school if you do not have your snap code that was sent home. This online registration is very important. Thank you to everyone who has already completed it.
Fall Conferences are scheduled for October 9th- 20th. Your student's teacher will contact you with scheduling information.
