The Foxy Focus for March is Acceptance.

Our students will hear the following statement on the announcements each morning and are encouraged to incorporate it into their daily habits.  Someone who demonstrates acceptance is welcoming to everyone, no matter how different they may be. This person makes others feel cared for and included.

We are very proud of Callie Campos, Brandy Calles Hernandez, Charles Elkins, and Zaniya White. These students represented Moss-Nuckols on Tuesday, February 27th during the LCPS Annual Black History Month Trivia Contest sponsored by the Kerry Wynn “Why Not Me?” Foundation.

This past Wednesday evening, Abbigayle Hunt, Mason Brown, Kandice Rhodes, Gideon Fritz, and Aria Klinkbeil represented M-NES as they participated in the LCPS Steam Cup competition during the LCPS CTE Showcase Night.  We are very proud of their collaboration and creativity during the event!

On Friday, we had two TeamLCPS MVP winners at M-NES.  Congratulations to both Mrs. Rachael Reynolds, our 5th grade math teacher, who was selected as the certified MVP and Bianca Ruggeri, who was selected as the student MVP.  Way to go, Mrs. Reynolds and Bianca!

Please be sure to note that Tuesday, March 5th is an Asynchronous Learning Day for Louisa County Public Schools. This is because the Presidential Primary is coming up on Tuesday as well, and four of our schools serve as polling locations. Please note that Wednesday, March 6th will be a regular school day.

On Thursday, March 7th we will participate in the Statewide Tornado Drill at 9:45 AM as part of Virginia's Severe Weather Awareness Week.

Next Thursday, March 7th, is the All-County Chorus field trip. Students with signed permission slips will leave M-NES at 11:15 AM to travel to the high school. They will not be returning to school that day.  Students will be signed out by a parent/guardian after the concert at LCHS. The concert is at 6:00 pm and anyone is welcome to come!

Be sure to check out the Fox Family Newsletter for information regarding LCPS preschool registration.  You can also RSVP for One Book, One Louisa at the Goochland Drive-In and our March 5th Asynchronous Service Day Project by visiting the links in the newsletter.
