Good evening Fox Families,
This is your principal, Mr. Street. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who made last week’s Spirit Week such an incredible success! It warmed my heart to see so many students and staff showing their M-NES pride. The energy and school spirit were amazing, and I can’t wait to start planning another Spirit Week to celebrate the holiday season!
A reminder that schools will be closed on Monday, November 4, and Tuesday, November 5. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Wednesday, November 6, which is also our makeup picture day for any of our young Foxes who missed their earlier photo session.
I’m also thrilled to share an exciting event coming up for all LCPS families! On Friday, November 8, we’ll be celebrating First Responders Appreciation Night at Louisa County High School’s “The Jungle” as our varsity football Lions take on Goochland. We’re inviting all our community’s first responders to join us! The evening will kick off with a special pregame cookout at 6 p.m., free entry for all first responders, and a celebration honoring their incredible service throughout the game. If you’re a first responder and would like to attend, please RSVP by emailing [email protected]. Let’s show our appreciation to these amazing heroes!
If your child is missing a jacket or hoodie, please check the lost and found. All remaining items will be donated to Goodwill over Christmas break, so now’s the time to grab any lost items!
On Friday, November 15, join us for Math and Literacy Night combined with a PTA Movie Night at 5 p.m.! This event is packed with hands-on activities designed to support your child’s growth in reading and math. You’ll leave with practical strategies and resources to use at home. To make it even more fun, students will vote this week on whether we’ll watch Trolls Band Together or Emoji Movie that night! Don’t forget to RSVP if you’re planning to attend – we can’t wait to see you there for a fun night of learning and community!
Finally, I want to say how grateful I am to serve such a wonderful school family. Every day, I feel so lucky to be part of a team that makes M-NES such a magical place for our students and families. Thank you for all you do to make this school truly special. Let’s keep making amazing memories together!
Foxes out!
