I hope everyone had a great weekend. What a fun and busy October we had at MNES! Our Book Character Day was such a hit, and I loved seeing all the creativity in our Disguise a Ghost and Pumpkin Character activities. Thank you to all of our families who joined in the fun and helped make those moments so special. Be on the lookout for our next family activity — Disguise a Turkey! It’s always amazing to see what our Fox families come up with.
I also want to thank our community for showing so much kindness and generosity during Kindness Month. Your support means so much to our school and to each other.
A few reminders for the week ahead:
There will be no school on Monday, November 3rd, or Tuesday, November 4th for Election Day. We’ll see everyone back on Wednesday, November 5th. That day, we’ll begin our Fall SOL Growth Testing, which will continue through Thursday, November 6th. We’ll also have Fall Makeup Picture Day on Thursday, November 6th.
Mark your calendars — PTA Movie Night is coming up on Friday, November 14th! Be sure to send in your RSVP forms by November 7th. And if you haven’t done so yet, please consider downloading the Box Tops app and joining our PTA — they have a goal of 200 members this year, and your support helps make so many great things happen for our students and staff. As we move into November, we are collecting non-perishable food items to help create Thanksgiving Meal Baskets for MNES families. Items like canned vegetables, boxed stuffing, mashed potatoes, pasta, and other pantry staples can be dropped off in the boxes at the front of the school by November 19th.
Before I close tonight, I want to take a moment to share how grateful I am for our incredible teachers and staff. Their passion, creativity, and dedication make every day at MNES feel like something special. They bring joy to our students, strength to our school, and heart to everything we do. I am so proud to work beside such an inspiring group of people who give their all for our Foxes.
