Good evening, Fox Families!

This is Mr. Street, your proud principal at Moss-Nuckols Elementary, and I hope you’ve had a relaxing weekend. We’ve got another great week ahead, and I can’t wait to tell you about all the exciting things happening at school!

First, I want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing 3rd through 5th graders for the incredible effort they showed during the first week of SOL testing. This week, we’ll continue with Math SOLs, and I know our Foxes are going to keep giving it their best!

Parents, your support makes all the difference. Thank you for helping your child get a good night’s sleep, getting them to school on time, and encouraging them to slow down and take their time. Those pep talks at home really matter — let’s keep cheering them on from the sidelines. Our students have worked hard all year, and we believe in every single one of them. We’ve got this, Foxes!

Coming up on Wednesday, May 7th, we’re celebrating someone very special — Nurse Tabby! It’s School Nurse Appreciation Day, and we are so lucky to have Nurse Tabby caring for our Foxes every day. She always goes the extra mile, and we’d love for families to join us in showing her some extra love and appreciation this week!

Then, mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 14th, when we’ll be holding Kindergarten Screening here at MNES. If you have a rising kindergartener or know someone who does, now is the time to get them registered! You can find all the information on our website or through the links in tonight’s message. We are so excited to welcome our newest little learners to the Fox family!

🎡 We’re also gearing up for our End-of-Year Effort Carnival for 3rd–5th grade students on Tuesday, May 20th. For the last six weeks, students have been earning tickets by showing effort, having a positive attitude, and trying their best. At the carnival, they’ll get to use their tickets to play games and win prizes! We are looking for volunteers to help run the games and support our students. Volunteers should plan to arrive at 8:00 a.m. and stay until noon. If you’d like to join the fun, please sign up using the link in this message or reach out to Dr. Ruhlman.

Before I wrap up, I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Mack and our amazing PTA for all they’ve done this year. From events to teacher support, you’ve helped make this a memorable year for our students and staff. MNES families — you continue to amaze me with your kindness and involvement.

And most importantly — to our teachers and staff: thank you for being the heartbeat of Moss-Nuckols. Your dedication, passion, and love for our students are what make this school such a special place. You inspire our Foxes every day, and we are endlessly grateful for you.

Let’s make it another fantastic week at Moss-Nuckols — stay kind, work hard, and keep that Fox spirit strong!

Foxes Out!
