Good evening, Fox Families!
This is Mr. Street, your proud principal. I hope you had a fantastic weekend and are looking forward to another great week at MNES! We have so many exciting things happening, so let’s dive right in.
SOL Simulations Wrapping Up
Our 3rd-5th grade students will complete their SOL Simulations this week. These practice assessments are a valuable tool to help guide instruction and build confidence for the real thing later this spring. We are so proud of our students for their hard work and effort!
Picture Day – Monday, March 24th
Class pictures and individual spring pictures will be taken Monday, March 24th. Be sure to bring your best smiles!
Spring Book Fair – March 24-28
The Book Fair is just around the corner! Students will shop during their Library resource time, and flyers will be coming home soon. The Book Fair will also be open during Friday’s PTA Bingo Night! If you’d like to volunteer, please contact the PTA or Mrs. Youel. Can’t wait? Shop online now at literati.com/store and search for Moss-Nuckols.
Clay Unit Volunteers Needed
Mrs. Ward is looking for volunteers to assist with her upcoming clay unit from March 20-26. No experience is needed—just a willingness to help! If you’re interested, sign up at SignUpGenius.
The Wild Robot Connection
In the book The Wild Robot, Mr. Beaver and Roz worked together to build a home. Think about a time you helped a friend or family member—how did it make you feel?
Title I & Title III Family Movie Night – April 8th & 9th
Join us for a special drive-in showing of The Wild Robot! This free event includes a $5 snack voucher for the Goochland Snack Shack. Gates open at 5:30 PM, so come early to grab your snacks! Reserve your ticket at bit.ly/LCPSFamilyMovieNight.

Fundraiser Update – Almost There!
We’re just 15 boxes away from reaching our goal of selling 100 boxes! To help us cross the finish line, we’re extending the fundraiser until March 14th. If you’d like to help sell the last few boxes, reach out to the PTA. If you haven’t turned in your money yet, please do so by Friday, March 14th. Thank you for your incredible support!
Good Luck to Our 24 Competition Students!
This Tuesday, five 4th graders and five 5th graders will represent us at the 24 Competition. We are so proud of them—good luck!
As I wrap up, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. The love, support, and dedication of our MNES family never go unnoticed. To our staff—you are the heart and soul of this school, and your impact on our students is immeasurable. To our families—your involvement and encouragement make all the difference.
Let’s make it a fantastic week, Fox Family! Stay kind, work hard, and keep that Fox spirit strong!
Foxes Out!
