Good evening, Fox Families!

This is Mr. Street, your proud principal, checking in with some exciting updates for the week ahead!

First, a huge thank you to everyone who supported the Book Fair—we hope you found some treasures for your home library! Also, a big shoutout to those who came out for PTA Bingo Night and the Silent Auction. Your support means the world to us, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

We also want to celebrate all of our young foxes who participated in the Arts Festival. It was amazing to see so many of our talented Foxes and their families enjoying the event!

IMPORTANT REMINDER: We have a new student drop-off and pick-up traffic pattern continuing this week. Please follow the posted signs and staff directions to help keep everything running smoothly and safely. We appreciate your patience as we adjust to this new system!

Now, here’s some exciting news—Louisa County Public Schools is HIRING! Are you or someone you know looking to make a difference? We’re looking for teachers, custodians, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and more! Join us at the LCPS Job Fair on Saturday, April 26th—help us spread the word! Sign up here:  https://forms.gle/qbBu9XhX2toCkQ3i7

Speaking of exciting things, are you enjoying The Wild Robot? Roz has been finding creative ways to help the animals on the island—what are some of your favorite moments so far? Keep those conversations going at home!

And guess what? Family Movie Night is almost here! Join us on Tuesday, April 8th, or Wednesday, April 9th for a special showing of The Wild Robot. This year, we’re going all in on the drive-in theme—with a $5 voucher for snacks at the Goochland Snack Shack! Gates open at 5:30 PM—come early to grab your treats and a great spot!

Finally, a special shoutout to our Den Leaders for leading a community service project to support the Louisa Animal Shelter. We love seeing our Foxes giving back!

Before I sign off, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to our incredible teachers and staff. Their hard work, dedication, and passion for our young Foxes do not go unnoticed. Every day, they pour their hearts into making MNES a place where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired. I am so thankful to work alongside such an amazing team!

Fox Families, you make MNES such a special place, and I’m so grateful for each of you. Let’s make it another incredible week—stay kind, work hard, and keep that Fox spirit strong!
