January 8, 2023

Good Evening Fox Family, this is your principal Anita Roane. I hope you have been having a wonderful weekend. The students had a great adjustment back to school from the winter break and we were happy to have them back in the fox den!

Congratulations to our very own Lilly Martin! She was chosen for the Student LCPS MVP award last week. We are so proud of her for her kind acts toward her classmates!

Our January Asynchronous Service project is just a couple of weeks away and we have a fantastic opportunity for our students to give back to Louisa County. On January 25th, our Foxes will have the opportunity to pack 5,000 meals to donate to Louisa’s Resource Council. We are partnering with Meals of Hope and this experience also provides a great opportunity for our students to practice the 5Cs - collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and citizenship.

Foxes will measure, pour, weigh, pack, and/or create a Kind Card to accompany each meal. Your student will not want to miss this! A permission slip came home last week with an RSVP slip at the bottom. If you missed it, that’s alright - we have extras. Please call our office if you need another form. All Meals of Hope RSVP forms will be due back to school no later than Friday, January 20th.

Here’s What’s Coming Up in the Fox Den!

January 16th - Division Holiday School Closed

January 18th - PTA Meeting

January 20th - Green and Gold Spirit Day

January 24th - Foxy Festivities Club Day

January 25th - Asynchronous Learning Day

We believe in collaboration and communication between home and school here at the Home of the Foxes. Please feel free to always share your questions, concerns, and ideas with me.
