Good Evening Fox Families,
This is your principal, Mr. Street, and I just want to start by saying how incredibly thankful I am for all the love and support you’ve shown during this first semester. Parents, thank you so much for always showing up, advocating for your students, and being such an important part of our MNES family. It truly warms my heart to see so many parents and loved ones at school and at all of our events. You make our community feel so alive and connected!
We have some festive fun planned to wrap up this semester! Monday, December 16th is Wear Your Favorite Holiday Sweater and Accessories Day! On Tuesday, December 17th, rock your Favorite Holiday Shirt and Accessories, and finally, Wednesday, December 18th is all about Fun and Festive Holiday Wear! We can't wait to see everyone spreading cheer with their holiday spirit!
Remember, there’s no school on Thursday, December 19th, and Friday, December 20th. Winter break begins, and because of the special election, students will return on Wednesday, January 8th. We will miss our young foxes so much and can’t wait to welcome them back in the new year!
A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTA for organizing so many unforgettable events this semester. From Popsicles with the Principal to the Den Fun Run, the Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat, Title 1 Read & Math/Movie Night, and the Penguin Shop—what a lineup! It has been incredible to see so many of you at these events, making memories and building our community stronger. We’re excited for the events planned for next semester and hope even more families can join in the fun. And if you haven’t already, please consider signing up for the PTA—it’s a great way to stay connected!
Finally, to our incredible teachers and staff: you are the heart of MNES. Your dedication, care, and love for our students create a learning environment that is second to none. Thank you for making MNES such a special place! I’m so grateful to work alongside such talented and caring individuals. Your hard work this semester has not gone unnoticed, and I know our families and students feel just as lucky to have you.
And to everyone, thank you for continuing to extend grace as I learn and grow as your principal. MNES is more than a school—it’s a family, and I’m so proud to be a part of it with all of you.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season, a restful break, and a fresh start to the new year.
Foxes out!
