Hello Fox Family, this is your principal Anita Roane. I hope you have been enjoying your weekend. We are entering our final week before Winter Break. It is hard to believe that we have almost completed half of our school year. I thank you for all of your support and for trusting us to take care of your students and provide them with an epic education!
Thank you to all of the Amistad families that came out to spend time with each other Friday morning. It was nice to see so many of you! I would like to give a special thank you to those that were able to help with the setup and take-down. That is always appreciated!
Many of you may know that Brandon Smith is a former LCPS student and football player who is now a linebacker for the Carolina Panthers. Brandon and his father also volunteered at M-NES before the pandemic. He will be representing Louisa county and the Kindness and No Bullying initiatives put on by LCPS for the NFL’s “My Cleats, My Cause” campaign. Ten students worked together to decorate the cleats. Last Tuesday the School Board recognized those students and our very own Aminah Brinkley and Cierra Davis were among those students. The final product will be revealed next week. Brandon will be wearing the cleats in the Panthers vs. Steelers game on Dec. 18th. We are so proud of Cierra and Aminah. They are so talented!
