Good Evening, Fox Families!
This is your proud principal, Mr. Street, and I can’t even tell you how excited I am for the start of another incredible school year here at Moss-Nuckols. Seeing so many smiling faces at Open House this past week was just the perfect way to kick things off — what an amazing community we have!
Our first official day of school is Tuesday, August 12th. Doors will open at 7:50, the tardy bell rings at 8:10, and dismissal will begin at 3:05. Please make sure your child knows how they’re getting home that day. If you have any questions at all, or if something changes with transportation, just give us a call and also send a note or email so we can make sure everything goes smoothly.
Don’t forget to send back all registration and classroom forms as soon as possible. If anything is missing, we’ll be reaching out to families in the coming days.
This week we’ll also be starting some of our safety drills and assemblies — nothing to worry about, just practicing so everyone knows what to do.
I want to give a huge thank you to our amazing PTA for hosting two fantastic events last week — Popsicles with the Principals and PreK/K Signing Day. If you haven’t joined the PTA yet, it’s only $5 and they do so much for our school. And while you’re at it, consider downloading the Box Tops app — it’s such an easy way to support MNES!
I have to end tonight by bragging on our incredible staff. They have worked so hard to prepare for this school year — the building looks beautiful, the classrooms are ready, and the lessons are planned. But more than that, they bring their hearts to this work every single day. I am so lucky to serve alongside such a talented, dedicated group of professionals, and I want them to know how important they are to our school, to me, and to the entire community. We truly have the best of the best right here at Moss-Nuckols.
So let’s get ready to show that Fox Pride all year long — by being kind, working hard, and leading the way.
