Good Evening, Fox Families!
This is Mr. Street, your proud principal, just checking in with some exciting updates as we head into another awesome week here at Moss-Nuckols!
First up—Louisa County Public Schools is hiring! If you or someone you know is looking to make a real difference, we’d love to have you join our team. We’re looking for amazing people—teachers, bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria workers—you name it! Mark your calendars for the LCPS Job Fair on Saturday, April 26th, and help us spread the word. You can sign up at the link in the email or on our website! https://forms.gle/qbBu9XhX2toCkQ3i7
Now for our readers out there—can you believe we’re in the final chapters of The Wild Robot? Roz leaves the island in an airship… do you think she’ll come back someday? Why or why not? That’s a great conversation to have as a family—we’d love to hear your child’s thoughts!
Speaking of The Wild Robot, Family Movie Night is almost here! Join us for this fun and FREE event at the Goochland Drive-In on Tuesday, April 8th or Wednesday, April 9th. Gates open at 5:30 PM, and we’ll be watching The Wild Robot together with snacks and lots of fun. It’s going to be a great night for the whole family—we hope to see you there!
Also—Friday is a big day at MNES!
We’ve got our Career Day, a fun and high-energy SOL Prep Rally, and interim reports will be coming home. So be sure to check those backpacks!
Looking ahead—Spring Break is next week, and there will be no school all week long. We hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and fun break with family and friends.
We’re also looking ahead to next school year, and our amazing MNES PTA is searching for new board members for the 2025–2026 school year. If you’re interested in serving as President, Vice President, or Treasurer—or if you just have questions—reach out to the PTA to learn more. We’d love to have you get involved!
Big shoutout to everyone who’s been sending in recyclable plastic! We’ve collected over 600 pounds so far toward our goal of 1,000 pounds to earn a brand-new bench for our school. Keep those grocery bags, shipping wrap, and plastic film coming in—every little bit helps!
Also, a reminder that Kindergarten registration is now open! If you or someone you know has a future Fox ready to start school, head over to our registration site—we’ve got links available in the email and on the school website. https://kindergarten.lcps.k12.va.us

And finally—this one’s near and dear to my heart—it’s Teacher Appreciation Week! I want to take a moment to thank the incredible staff that makes MNES such a special place. Parents, if you can, please consider sending a quick note to your child’s teacher this week. Just a few kind words can go a long way and mean the world to them. I truly feel like the luckiest principal on the planet to work with such dedicated staff and wonderful students every single day.
That’s all for now—let’s make it another incredible week! Stay kind, work hard, and keep that Fox spirit shining bright.
Foxes out!
