Good evening, Fox Families!

This is your proud principal, Mr. Street, and I hope you’ve had a wonderful spring break. We are looking forward to seeing all of our Foxes back and ready for a great week ahead!

I always appreciate this time to connect and share a few things coming up.

I want to start by looking ahead to our SOL testing, which will begin in about two weeks for our 3rd through 5th graders. A testing calendar will be sent home this week so you have all the dates. Families, your support at home makes a big difference—making sure students get a good night’s sleep, offering encouragement, and reminding them to simply do their best can go a long way in helping them feel confident and prepared.

Now, looking at what’s coming up—Kindergarten Registration and Meet the Teachers will take place on Wednesday, April 15th from 4 to 7. We encourage any of our future Fox families to come out, get registered, and meet our amazing kindergarten team.

Then on Thursday, April 16th, our 1st grade choral performance will take place. First grade students can be dropped off between 5:30 and 5:50, with the performance beginning at 6:00. We’re excited to see our young foxes shine!

On Friday, April 17th, our PTA will be hosting Spring Fest at 5:30. This is our final PTA event of the year, and it’s shaping up to be a great evening with fun activities and local vendors. We hope to see many of you there, and don’t forget to download the Box Tops app to help support our school.

Also on April 17th is the RSVP deadline for our upcoming community service opportunity. On April 21st, our students will have the chance to create Kindness Rocks to spread positivity throughout Louisa County. This event will take place at Thomas Jefferson Elementary from 12 to 2. More information will be coming home, and we’d love to have your child participate.

We’re also excited to share that Louisa County Public Schools is hiring. The LCPS Job Fair will take place on Saturday, April 25th, and we are looking for great people to join our team. If you or someone you know may be interested, please help us spread the word. TO REGISTER, CLICK HERE: https://forms.gle/yVAtiiS8jSJK31e36

And as we continue looking ahead, our 3–5 SOL Carnival will take place on May 19 as a celebration of our students’ hard work. We’ll be looking for a few parent volunteers to help make that day extra special.

Before I wrap up, I just want to take a moment to recognize our staff. Every day, they show up with heart, dedication, and a true commitment to our students. I’m continually grateful to work alongside such an incredible group of people, and our students and families are lucky to have them guiding the way.

Thank you again for your continued support and for being such an important part of our school community.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, and we’ll see our Foxes bright and early Monday morning. Let’s make it a great week by working hard, being kind, and leading the way.

Foxes out!
