Greetings Moss-Nuckols Families!  This is Anita Roane with your Fox Family Focus for the week of September 24th.  I hope you all have been having a fantastic weekend.  We have a few activities coming up soon.  They are as follows:

September 26th ~ Johnny Appleseed Day –  wear red, yellow or green (the color of apples)
September 27th ~ World Milk Day ~ dress in the color of your favorite milk flavor (strawberry-pink, vanilla-white or chocolate-brown)
October 6th ~ End of the 1st Nine Weeks
October 9th and 10th ~ School will be closed for students
October 9th-13th ~ National School Lunch Week

Parents we need your help in keeping our students safe with food allergies.  Birthdays are an exciting time and we know many of you want your child to celebrate with their classmates.  However, the school policy must be followed.

The school policy states: The school nurse must be notified at least two days in advance of the intent to bring in outside food. This is for the safety of our students with allergies.

For Moss-Nuckols Elementary all outside food must be brought in no later than 8:30AM the morning that you wish for your child to celebrate. Treats will not be accepted if they are brought in during the lunch time hour. This does not allow time for allergies to be reviewed or for alternative snacks to be provided to students that cannot participate. Parents may not distribute treats. Teachers are responsible for the distribution. If treats are brought in during lunch time they will be distributed the following day. Thanks for your understanding in this matter. The safety of our students is very important to us! Please contact the nurse with any concerns @540-967-1347.
Mrs. Young our PTA President wants you to know that this is National Box Top's Week and the final week for turning in your Box Tops for the Fall Drive!   Please bring in any you have by this Friday, September 29. Currently, the leading classes in the race to the finish are Ms. Grande's kindergarten class in 1st place, Mrs. Pancham's fifth grade class in 2nd place, and Mr. Wilson's third grade class in 3rd place!  Anyone can still take the lead!

Thank you so much for your attention.
