Greetings Fox Families! This is Anita Roane, your principal with our weekly announcements.

The Foxes of Moss-Nuckols look forward to any Veterans who will be attending our Veterans Day Luncheon Monday. We appreciate your service and it is our honor to treat you to lunch for the day.

The holiday lunch dates and grade levels have been scheduled.  We will start with PK, kindergarten and second grade on November 21st.  December 17th is designated for first and fourth grades.  April 2nd is designated for third and fifth grades.  You will be notified if there is a change in the schedule.

A letter from Superintendent Straley was sent home with students Friday concerning the change in the school calendar for March 3, 2020.  This date has been changed to a professional development day for teachers.  There will be no school for students on that day.  This calendar change does not affect any other parts of the calendar.  Please contact the school if you did not receive the letter. I want to make sure  you are informed.

Don’t forget to send the permission slips back to school Monday for your student to attend the Animal Ambassadors assembly Tuesday.  The permission slip needs to be returned even if they are not taking pictures.  Signing the permission slip means they are able to attend the assembly and hear about the characteristics and adaptations of the animals. We don’t want our students to miss this special educational program.  There is a lot to learn about the animals.  Only students with funds will take the pictures.  If you have questions contact the school office.

Our Dens of Determination are going well.  My den, Amistad has been having a tough time staying out of last place. But the students are doing well striving to earn den points.  The friendly competition is great! At our October Fox Summit, Rêveur won the points for best school spirit.  This Friday at our November Fox Summit that honor went to Amistad. This is a reminder for the school community that we are partners with the Ron Clark Academy and the names are trademarked.  There are specific guidelines on how they can be used. You can go to the Ron Clark Academy website and view their House System Brand Guidelines or check with school administration.
