This is your principal, Mr. Street. I want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to our Coins for the Commonwealth drive. I’m proud to share that MNES raised over $4,000 for Grayson County Public Schools! It was an honor and privilege to deliver this donation last week, and it’s truly inspiring to be part of such a caring and generous community.
I’d also like to extend a special thank-you to all the veterans who joined us for lunch on Monday, November 11th. Your service to our great country is deeply appreciated, and it was a pleasure to have you with us.
As we continue to care for our community, please consider donating non-perishable items to help us create Meal Baskets for families here at the school. We’ll be collecting food until November 19th, and items like canned vegetables, pasta, boxed stuffing, mashed potatoes, desserts, and pantry staples like sugar and flour would be especially helpful. Your donations make a difference for so many in the MNES community, and we thank you in advance! Bins are located at the front entrance for your convenience.
This Friday, we’re kicking off the day with our Amistad Den Breakfast! Be sure to wear your den shirt or color, and if you’re a proud Amistad member, invite a special guest to join you for breakfast. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate our den spirit together.
The school and PTA also want to thank everyone who attended our Title 1 Night and PTA Movie Night. It was fantastic to see so many families learning ways to support students at home in reading and math, followed by enjoying The Emoji Movie together.
And finally, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to the incredible teachers and staff here at MNES. Your hard work and dedication make this school the amazing place it is, and I am so fortunate to work with such a devoted team. You are what makes MNES a truly special place.
