Greetings Fox Families! This is Anita Roane, your principal with our weekly announcements.

We are taking orders for our School Yearbooks until March 31st.  Don’t miss out on the memories!  They are only $20.00.

Read Across America Week is coming soon.  You should have received a flyer last week explaining the exciting things we have planned for that week.

I hope you were able to check out our facebook page and see the wonderful photos of our fifth graders as they participated in the Living Wax Museum.  They did an outstanding job giving facts about the various contributions of African Americans.

Congratulations to Mrs. Chrissy Youel our Media Specialist.  She was the TeamLCPS Certified MVP Winner last week!  She has done a great job collaborating with the teachers this year as we have implemented our collaborative flex library schedule.

I want to remind everyone that there will be no school for students on Tuesday, March 3rd. This is a follow-up to the letter our school division sent home with students back on November 8th. The Presidential Primary is on March 3rd, so that day is now scheduled to be a Staff Development Day at LCPS, which again means no school for students. Please be sure to mark down this change on your calendar if you have not already done so. To view the original letter that was sent home on November 8th, please visit our division website at  lcps.k12.va.us.

This is a reminder that All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are encouraged to participate in the Science Fair this school year.  All experiments and display boards need to be completed at home and turned in on, or before, Friday, March 13th.  The top two boards will be on display at Family Innovation Night on March 19th and will also win an award!  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask Mrs. Ali Hodell or Mrs. Marissa Jovel.

Have you ever wondered how bouncy balls are made and what makes them bounce so high? Then join us on Thursday, March 19th from 5 - 7 pm for “Family Innovation Night”. The annual event will be held at Louisa County High School. Come to the bouncy ball factory and transform special crystals into real bouncy balls that you can take home. We can’t wait to see you there as we explore the possibilities.

Here’s What’s Coming Up in the Fox Den!
February 24th - M-NES Monday and our Heart Healthy Assembly
February 26th - All County Chorus
February 27th - STEAM Cup Challenge 5:00PM-7:00PM at the LCMS Library
February 28th - 3rd Grade -Field Trip and Donuts with Dads

Thank you for your attention and for all that you do in making our school the Epic M-NES that it is!
