This is Anita Roane, your principal with our weekly announcements.  In celebration of African American History Month students will hear interesting facts on the morning announcements each day in February to increase their awareness of contributions made which make our life so much easier today.  Each Friday in February staff and students have an opportunity to answer a trivia question and win a prize.

This month our Foxy Focus is Patience. Each day the students hear the following statement on the morning announcements:

Patience means waiting for something without getting upset. We have to be patient when we are waiting for our turn to speak, waiting in a long line, or waiting for a game to start. Having patience is being calm and kind, even when we can’t get what we want right away.

Have you ever wanted to drive a NASCAR race car? Then join us on Thursday, March 19th from 5-7 pm for “Family Innovation Night”. The annual event will be held at Louisa County High School. Come meet Justin Carroll, a NASCAR Arca Menards Series and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series professional driver ready to show you his NASCAR race car and tell you how it works.  Also drive a NASCAR simulator as you speed down a virtual course. We can’t wait to see you there as we explore the possibilities.

Don’t forget to contact the front office or Mrs. Funkhouser if you are able to assist with Career Day on March 20th.  I am sure our foxes would love to hear about what you do.

Here’s What’s Coming Up in the Fox Den!

February 3rd - SCA Spirit Day - Wear your favorite sports gear

February 4th - School board Appreciation Day

February 5th - World Read Aloud Day

February 6th - School Counselor’s Day

February 7th - Q3 Interims go home

Thank you for your attention and for all that you do in making our school the Epic M-NES that it is!
